Robert VanTreeck, MA., LCPC

To engage in the work of psychotherapy is a profound act of courage. It requires risk, persistence, and often the willingness to look at very painful experiences. To seek positive change in one's life is a mark of health and strength. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with New Insights Behavioral Health Services. I have 21 years of specialized experience providing therapy in English and Spanish to adolescents and adults. I utilize evidence-based therapies in my practice, focusing on issues that include anxiety, depression, trauma, and marital/ relationship concerns.

I have an ability to engage interactively with clients, to be genuinely curious about their life stories. I strive to identify and build on healthy client choices and behavior, and to recognize what clients are doing right, while also looking carefully at areas that are no longer serving them well, and that they are ready to change.

My role is to work together with clients to name and move effectively toward the change they seek. I believe the work of growth requires increasing awareness, and includes taking personal responsibility for an expanded set of options. Awareness of options decreases a sense of victimhood. Clients are almost always more powerful than they think.

In addition to my professional training, I bring to my work the perspective of my specific and extensive life experience. I lived and worked for several years in Latin America, in both rural and urban settings. I speak Spanish, and I have substantial first-hand experience with cross-cultural issues. I have grown through the rigorous demands of both marriage and divorce, and have profited immeasurably from the privilege of parenting two children, including a child with special developmental needs.

I am attuned to the unique concerns of gay, lesbian and bisexual clients, and to those questioning their sexuality or their spirituality. I hope that my background provides a point of connection with many kinds of people. I am energized by meeting new potential clients, and I look forward to building an effective clinical relationship with each person who chooses to walk through my door.

Ewa Bednarczyk, LCSW

Struggling does not mean you are failing. Falling down is part of the process, just like rising and growing. Struggling does not mean something is „wrong” with us. It may mean we have patterns to unlearn, new behaviors to embody, and wounds that need to heal, and that takes time.

I respect your desire to want to be honest with yourself and seek change. I recognize that trust is a journey and does not always come easy, therefore I strive to make it a foundation in how I practice. It is important for me that my clients feel heard and empowered to embrace their resilience. I work with my clients to help them visualize the life they want to have and help them put it into practice through a safe, welcoming, and empathic approach. I provide a nonjudgmental and compassionate space where together we can explore your challenges, understand their roots, and develop appropriate and healthy ways to cope with them. I utilize a combination of modalities based on the unique needs of each one of my clients. Through a trauma informed and culturally sensitive lens, I draw from various evidenced-based practices such as psychodynamic, relational, DBT, CBT, ACT and others.
