I am Natalie Sager, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with New Insights Behavioral Health Services. I use she/her/hers pronouns. My therapeutic approach is collaborative, creative, and empathetic. I am dedicated to assisting children, adolescents, and adults in building a more fulfilling life and progressing towards their desired changes.
During therapy, I am conscious of environmental factors such as structural oppression, race, class, sexual orientation, and religion. Working with clients, I employ Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), ARC, TF-CBT, mindfulness, and a variety of play and art-based techniques. I take pleasure in incorporating creative and somatic methods into therapy, tailoring my approach to meet the unique needs of each client.
I earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a Minor in Studio Art from DePaul University, and a Master of Social Work from the University of Chicago. My extensive experience includes providing therapy to children, adolescents, and adults dealing with issues related to Anxiety, OCD, ADHD, Depression, PTSD, Traumatic Stress, shame, grief, loss, job and academic stress, sexual trauma, relationship challenges, self-esteem, and life transitions.
Self-care is a priority for me. Outside of work, I engage in mindfulness, reading, cooking, and drawing. I also cherish time spent with my family, my small flock of chickens, and my dog.
