ABOUT DR. RITU BEDI

Dr. Ritu Bedi serves as the clinical director and co-owner of New Insights Behavioral Health Services. As a licensed clinical psychologist, she brings over 15 years of specialized training in therapy and assessment services for children, adolescents, adults, and families. Her experience spans community mental health centers and hospital environments, holding both clinical and supervisory roles. 


Dr. Bedi has been an adjunct faculty member at Adler University and the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, contributing several publications on the long-term effects of childhood trauma. Her clinical expertise includes treating trauma, abuse, infertility, anxiety, low self-esteem, work stress, ADHD, depression, grief, and loss.


Dr. Bedi is also well-versed in health psychology, assisting clients with medical diagnoses in adapting to their conditions, adhering to treatments, and overcoming needle phobias. She is a proponent of evidence-based and relational therapy methods, offering a range of treatments including cognitive behavioral therapy, child-parent psychotherapy, ARC, TF-CBT, cognitive processing therapy, and psychodynamic psychotherapy. Her approach is complemented by her innate warmth and empathy, fostering a secure and supportive environment for her clients.
