As a supervised psychotherapist at New Insights Behavioral Health Services, my experience spans community mental health, various outpatient settings, and youth residential care. I have a comprehensive background in treating trauma, depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, substance use, and relational issues, often within dual diagnosis contexts.
My doctoral training includes psychological assessment. I have served a diverse clientele, varying in race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, and other aspects. Currently, I am stationed at New Insight's Portage Park outpatient offices on the northwest side of Chicago.
Building a strong rapport and fostering a non-judgmental environment where patients feel supported is paramount in my therapy approach. I practice collaborative therapy, customizing treatment to align with my patients' objectives.
My repertoire includes cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, psychodynamic, mindfulness, and trauma-focused therapies. My therapeutic approach incorporates a range of activities: examining the interplay of thoughts, emotions, and behaviors; delving into past and current relationships; teaching coping strategies, relaxation, and mindfulness; devising solutions to challenges; conducting behavioral experiments; facilitating gradual exposure; engaging in hypnotherapy; processing trauma experiences; and learning adaptive ways to relate to these experiences.
