Hi, my name is Jamey (she/her). I specialize in trauma therapy, helping people work through relationship harm, grief, and life's stressors. My approach is both creative and relational, meaning we will collaboratively foster a safe space for your healing. I have experience supporting older children, teens, and adults of all ages.
I use different therapeutic approaches depending upon your needs. If you’ve experienced relationship harm, I will use Relational Therapy to help you reconnect with yourself and others, practicing emotional insight, communication, and boundary setting. If you experience anxiety or depression, I will introduce Narrative Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to increase self-compassion, being in the ‘present’, and your ability to soothe yourself. For children, I utilize Play Therapy to build self-esteem, self-regulation, and relationship skills.
Ultimately, I want therapy to be guided by you, empowering you to feel more connected and hopeful. Your life experiences, and therefore my treatment approaches, do not exist in a vacuum. I value your upbringing, culture, race, gender and sexual identities, immigration journey, and roles in your community. I am an anti-oppressive and nonjudgemental therapist, meaning your experiences of oppression deserve discussion, validation, and systemic action.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has worked as both a clinician and community advocate since obtaining my Master of Social Work degree in 2017. My previous positions involved supporting individuals and families who experienced sexual abuse, domestic violence, and family conflict. I’m also skilled in treating depression, anxiety, PTSD, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, and grief. I’ve worked with a wide array of individuals and families, and I look forward to hearing from you.
