I am a Latina bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor, born and raised in New York. I graduated as a first generation student from DePaul University with a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. As a daughter of Mexican immigrants, I understand the importance of representation for the BIPOC community and the key role it plays in making a therapeutic relationship thrive. I work with children/adolescents and families to understand the complexity of our experiences from a therapeutic lens. Through working with underserved communities I have learned people are potentials not problems.
With Multicultural and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy we can uncover patterns that trigger the internal conflicts we face in our daily lives. My approach emphasizes the impact of cultural factors and utilizes the CBT framework to address stressors including generational trauma, assimilation, depression, anxiety, grief, family dynamics, etc. Together, I am committed to creating a safe and supportive space for your needs and overall healing.
