ABOUT JAX MOSQUERA

Jax Mosquera is a multicultural Licensed Professional Counselor based in Chicago, IL. He takes a holistic, integrative, and collaborative approach to therapy, creating a space where clients can explore patterns in their thoughts and emotions, regulate their nervous systems, and build a sense of safety within themselves and their relationships. His goal is to support clients in moving beyond symptom relief toward a life that feels authentic, fulfilling, and aligned with who they are.

Mr. Mosquera earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with minors in Criminology and Sociology, and his Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bradley University. He has experience in both community based mental health and private practice, primarily working with clients facing concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and challenges with identity and self-esteem. He also supports individuals with autism, ADHD, emotional regulation difficulties, burnout, life transitions, impulsivity, anger, and personality-related concerns.

His style blends traditional talk therapy with mindfulness and body-based practices, incorporating approaches such as evidence-based practices, somatic and holistic based techniques, and creative and expressive arts. Mr. Mosquera provides affirming care for LGBTQIA+ clients and welcomes individuals from all cultural, spiritual, and racial backgrounds. He strives to tailor therapy to each person’s unique needs, helping clients feel more grounded, resilient, and connected to their authentic selves.
